We are #ROULEURS – riders at heart. The #MONKEYPRORIDER tour concept is all about riding, bends and scenery. We make very few visits to castles, museums or heritage sites... Make sure you can ride about 250 to 300 km a day, several days in a row. Back roads only. Our pace and riding method allow most riders to take part, but too low a riding level could hold the group back and make it difficult to finish the stages in a reasonable time.

PROGRAMME OF THE GUIDED MOTORCYCLE TOUR OF MOROCCO BY ROAD
DAY 1 - 0 KM - WELCOME IN MARRAKECH
A taxi picks you up at the airport (motorcycle hire), or we welcome you directly at the first riad on the outskirts of Marrakech. For riders coming with their own motorcycle, we can provide a nice roadbook for the Tangier – Marrakech journey along with recommendations for overnight hotels (allow 2 days). We can also provide the contact of a reliable shipping agent for arriving in Morocco with your vehicle. The first evening is a chance to get to know each other and hold the week's briefing.
DAY 2 - APPROX. 230 KM - ASNI, TIZI N'TEST, TAROUDANT
After breakfast, we set off for the first kilometres towards Asni – a chance to get to grips with your motorcycle. From Asni, we head for Lake Ouirgane, then the climb of the Tizi N'Test pass. The Tinmel Mosque is our first visit stop: the oldest mosque in the Kingdom of Morocco, it dates from the 12th century. After a short tea break, we begin the real climb of the Tizi N'Test into the Atlas
to reach its highest point at 2,100 metres. We'll enjoy a real Berber omelette in front of a breathtaking view!
The descent towards Taroudant is just as superb. Although the road is tarmac, there are many pitfalls and great care is needed. The road to Taroudant is lined with argan trees – see if you can spot the famous goats perched in their
branches. Once at your hotel in Taroudant, we offer you a horse-drawn carriage tour of its historic ramparts, which we have organised for you.
Well-deserved refreshments, relaxation, pool, massage: everything is planned to pamper you.
Drinks and dinner come before a well-deserved rest. Be in good shape the next day, as we tackle the plateaus of the Anti-Atlas.
DAY 3 - APPROX. 230 KM - ANTI-ATLAS AND TAFRAOUTE
Today we leave Taroudant via the bed of the Asif Tifnout, heading for the steep roads of the Anti-Atlas. Magnificent landscapes of hills covered in wild argan trees. From up there, the view of the Taroudant plain will take your breath away. Plateaus and desert plains will make you feel as if you are riding on Mars. You pass through the gateway to Tafraoute and begin a dizzying descent towards the Painted Rocks. A complete change of geology: landscapes made of piled-up boulders, like Lego creations, will impress you with their magic and balance. The Painted Rocks
site was created in 1994 by the Belgian artist Jean Vérame and is a must-see. Spread over more than 8 hectares, we'll show you most of it from the saddle of your motorcycle. A short, very fun off-road section that is perfectly manageable for beginners. Lunch break, where you'll taste the best couscous in the region – guaranteed! Back in the saddle, heading for Tizourghane, where you'll stay in a place that is unique in Morocco.
We'll keep it a surprise, but we guarantee amazement and exclusivity. The ride back to Tizourghane takes us up a lunar pass, completely out of time. Dinner with the owner, who will tell you the story of how this place was created.
DAY 4 - APPROX. 200 KM - FROM THE ANTI-ATLAS TO TAGHAZOUT
We leave Tizourghane and this place full of mystery, heading for the Targa N'Touchka oasis. These small, winding mountain roads reveal hypnotic landscapes, from green to desert. We arrive from the top of the oasis, ride through its vegetation, come out the other side and climb back up the flanks of this fabulous Anti-Atlas. You leave the Anti-Atlas and head for the Atlantic coast. You will wake up in
the middle of the desert and find yourself by the sea a few hundred kilometres later. Unique. Crossing Agadir is rather "rock'n'roll", but perfectly handled by your guide. After Agadir, you head for Taghazout along the coast. As for your accommodation, we'll keep it a surprise: this place, right on the sand, will amaze you. Drinks at a magnificent sunset, and the evening ends with dinner in the village of Taghazout.
DAY 5 - APPROX. 300 KM - FROM THE COAST TO THE HIGH ATLAS
We leave right after breakfast to enjoy the magnificent sunlight as we ride along the coast. We then leave the coast and climb the mountainsides towards the Ait Nasr valley, a magnificent valley nestled in the Anti-Atlas. We climb to the Tizi Ouchtar pass at 2,000 metres, then descend to the Timkit-Tafrata oasis, which we ride through. Landscapes swinging between greenery, mountains and desert – one of a kind.
We view the Anti-Atlas from several viewpoints, such as Tiskji and Talmeste. Today we also ride a few sections of track – don't worry, easy tracks with no difficulty. Then on towards Imintanoute and the road that takes us back towards the Agafay desert and the
Souss-Massa region at the foot of the High Atlas. The desert begins as we leave Amizmiz, and we find ourselves in the middle of it, at our magical spot for the evening, with a magnificent sunset.
DAY 6 - APPROX. 210 KM - LAKE TAKERKOUST, OUKAIMEDEN, OURIKA
After breakfast, we hit the road towards Lake Takerkoust. We pass the foot of the lake and climb the flanks of the Atlas towards the Oukaimeden and Ourika valleys. Surprising landscapes, between green Irish-style plains and rocky valleys. The
climb of the Kik plateau towards the Oukaimeden valley follows a series of small mountain roads that look unreal, both for their beauty and the views they offer. Lunch stop in an unexpected place, straight out of a film. We end the day with our arrival at the estate. Refreshments, then we meet by the pool for a farewell cocktail. A dinner party is organised, and we all share our memories of this magnificent road trip.
DAY 7 - 0 KM - END OF THE TOUR
Depending on your departure times, we have booked private transport to take you back to the airport. Here your trip ends, and we are sure you leave with your head full of memories, your eyes full of images and stories to tell. Take good care of yourselves: we are happy and delighted to have shared these moments with you and to have shown you a little of our Morocco.
Depending on the season, hotel availability or the number of people registered (and their riding level), some constraints may require the guide to change the routes and/or overnight stops. The guide alone decides what is needed to keep to the timing, make the most of the planned stops and ensure the overall comfort of the group. These changes cannot be disputed.

PREPARING YOUR MOTORCYCLE TOUR OF MOROCCO: THE GUIDE'S TIPS
Palm groves, mountain roads and ochre tracks: Morocco by motorcycle, by road, is a complete change of scene just a few hours from France. Here is our guide's advice to approach this motorcycle tour with peace of mind. It complements the briefing your qualified guide gives every morning before setting off.
Prepare your documents
For Morocco, a passport is essential. Also check with your insurer that your policy covers the motorcycle in Morocco, and bring the original registration document.
Adapt your riding to local traffic
Pedestrians, donkeys, carts and slow vehicles share the road. Anticipate, keep a margin and beware of sand that can cover the road in bends.
Manage water and heat
Always carry a bottle of water, drink at every break and protect yourself from the sun, even when the air feels cool at altitude.
