Tailor-made formulas for a VIP group

Like this tour, or interested in another destination? Contact us: we can organise your trip and guide you to the destination of your choice. Exclusive VIP formula for existing groups of 5 people or more. Contact us for a study of the destination, possible dates and a personalised quotation.

We are #ROULEURS – riders at heart. The #MONKEYPRORIDER tour concept is all about riding, bends and scenery. We make very few visits to castles, museums or heritage sites... Make sure you can ride about 250 to 300 km a day, several days in a row. Back roads only. Our pace and riding method allow most riders to take part, but too low a riding level could hold the group back and make it difficult to finish the stages in a reasonable time.

ALAIN P. ★★★★★ - Google review - 3 June 2026 -

I have taken part in Sunday rides, done 2 three-day trips and 1 one-week tour. Every time everything went well: a good atmosphere, friendliness and the joy of riding all together, safely. Don't hesitate, come along, you won't be disappointed. (translated from French)

MICHEL B. ★★★★★ - Google review - 10 September 2025 -

A first for me with Monkeyprorider: I rode the Route des Grandes Alpes in August and can only congratulate the organisation – a superb job on the routes, the accommodation and a great atmosphere, and above all a maestro, Thierry, as our guide. A superb experience and surely one of my best trips. (translated from French)

ANDRÉ M. ★★★★★ - Google review - 12 August 2025 -

A great group with fabulous organisation, whether for Sunday rides, weekend rides or even tours.
I've just ridden the RGA, the Route des Grandes Alpes. With a small group, a great atmosphere and good company. Our organiser and guide Thierry did flawless work. Everything was perfect. Don't hesitate to go on these tours. You can't be disappointed.
I'm going again as soon as I can. (translated from French)

KARINE B. ★★★★★ - Google review - 18 May 2025 -

These 7 days in Corsica organised by Thierry were a superb experience for me. I had already done 3-day road trips with the Monkeys and felt confident.
Our small group of riders from different backgrounds rode in unison. We all made progress.
We discovered wonderful landscapes, and the organisation was top-notch. Rooms, meals, picnics... We were spoilt by the weather and enjoyed local dishes. Top for me!! (translated from French)

JEAN L. ★★★★★ - Google review - 16 October 2025 -

A great trip, top-notch organisation and our guide Thierry was exceptional – he does everything to make it an unforgettable trip. No hesitation, go with MONKEYPRORIDER. (translated from French)

PROGRAMME OF THE SCOTLAND MOTORCYCLE TOUR

DAY 1 - 200 KM - BOARDING AND FIRST KILOMETRES

Participants meet at the ferry terminal to board. The crossing is quick, under 2 hours. Pack your first picnic in your luggage. We ride about 200 km to the first overnight stop near Cambridge. A fairly flowing stage.

DAY 2 - APPROX. 270 KM - ENGLISH COUNTRYSIDE AND THE MIDLANDS

We cross the English countryside with a few points of interest, notably the Midlands and the city of Nottingham, made famous by Robin Hood. We pass the Wyming Brook nature reserve and stop for the night east of Manchester.

DAY 3 - APPROX. 190 KM - NORTH YORK MOORS

A day with fewer kilometres, to enjoy the scenery. We turn east to follow the coast and see a few points of interest, such as Rievaulx Abbey... We cross the North York Moors National Park

DAY 4 - APPROX. 250 KM - EAST COAST, BAMBURGH AND HOLY ISLAND

We keep following England's east coast as far as Bamburgh Castle. Depending on timing, we may visit Holy Island and its magnificent bay.

DAY 5 - APPROX. 240 KM - THE LOWLANDS

We head back inland to cross from south-east to north-west. The Scottish countryside opens up before us, with its wide farming plains and damp forests. We are already in the Lowlands

DAY 6 - APPROX. 260 KM - THE LANDSCAPES OF SCOTLAND

A radical change of scenery that shows we are in Scotland. We mostly ride very flowing B-roads at a relaxed pace to enjoy the landscape.

DAY 7 - 0 KM - REST DAY

A well-deserved rest. Free time: everyone chooses their activity – a walk in the fresh air, a board game at the cottage or a restorative nap.

DAY 8 - APPROX. 285 KM - HIGHLANDS LOOP

A great loop brings us back to the previous night's accommodation, so you can leave your luggage in the room. This loop takes us across the Highlands and as far north as Sutherland. The Scottish landscapes we came for open up before us

DAY 9 - APPROX. 220 KM - THE HIGHLANDS

We stay in the landscapes we came for: the Highlands. We follow the coast back south, along many lochs and some rugged stretches of coastline. Desolate landscapes and authentic nature on the programme.

DAY 10 - APPROX. 150 KM - AROUND SKYE

A short loop around the Skye and Lochalsh area. Picnic on a deserted beach facing the vastness of the North Atlantic. On a clear day we can see the Western Isles

DAY 11 - APPROX. 317 KM - HEADING FOR GLASGOW

We sadly have to leave these wild lands and head back down towards civilisation as we begin our return journey. A great flowing stage takes us to the Glasgow area.

DAY 12 - 0 KM - REST DAY

Another well-deserved rest day. A chance to visit historic monuments and stroll around town.

DAY 13 - APPROX. 260 KM - LAKE DISTRICT AND KIRKSTONE PASS

We continue south through national parks, a mix of English countryside and forests. We use this route to pass close to a few medieval castles. At the end of the day we cross the Lake District National Park and the Kirkstone Pass.

DAY 14 - APPROX. 280 KM - THE SOUTH OF ENGLAND

We are now in the southern quarter of England and continue across the countryside. The guide makes sure to take in a few points of interest, such as landscapes or historic monuments. This great flowing stage takes us back through Nottingham.

DAY 15 - APPROX. 180 KM - OXFORD

The end of the trip is near and tiredness is setting in, so we ride a medium stage of barely 200 km. A chance to stop fairly early near Oxford. Depending on the group's wishes and pace, a short visit can be organised.

DAY 16 - APPROX. 125 KM - BACK TO THE FERRY

Only 125 km separate us from the coast, where we take the ferry back in the early afternoon. Hugs and exchanges of contact details – it's already over. See you soon for a new adventure

Depending on the season, hotel availability or the number of people registered (and their riding level), some constraints may require the guide to change the routes and/or overnight stops. The guide alone decides what is needed to keep to the timing, make the most of the planned stops and ensure the overall comfort of the group. These changes cannot be disputed.

PREPARING YOUR SCOTLAND MOTORCYCLE TOUR: THE GUIDE'S TIPS

Highlands, lochs, castles and single-track roads: Scotland by motorcycle is a trip like no other. Starting from Calais, this road trip calls for a few adjustments, starting with riding on the left. These tips complement the briefing your qualified guide gives every morning before setting off.

Getting used to riding on the left

In the United Kingdom, traffic drives on the left. The first roundabouts and pulling out of petrol stations are the trickiest moments: follow the guide and remind yourself "keep left" every time you set off.

Master single-track roads

In the Highlands, many roads have a single lane with passing places. Slow down when vehicles approach, use the passing places and never park in them.

Prepare for rain and paperwork

The weather changes quickly: waterproof gear is essential. Also check the UK entry requirements (passport, Electronic Travel Authorisation ETA) before you leave.
