We are #ROULEURS – riders at heart. The #MONKEYPRORIDER tour concept is all about riding, bends and scenery. We make very few visits to castles, museums or heritage sites... Make sure you can ride about 250 to 300 km a day, several days in a row. Back roads only. Our pace and riding method allow most riders to take part, but too low a riding level could hold the group back and make it difficult to finish the stages in a reasonable time.

Great atmosphere, beautiful roads, lovely accommodation and great food too – hard to beat 🧐😇. The Monkey tours are top, top 👍👍 (translated from French)

ALAIN P. ★★★★★ - Google review - 3 June 2026 -

I have taken part in Sunday rides, done 2 three-day trips and 1 one-week tour. Every time everything went well: a good atmosphere, friendliness and the joy of riding all together, safely. Don't hesitate, come along, you won't be disappointed. (translated from French)

MICHEL B. ★★★★★ - Google review - 10 September 2025 -

A first for me with Monkeyprorider: I rode the Route des Grandes Alpes in August and can only congratulate the organisation – a superb job on the routes, the accommodation and a great atmosphere, and above all a maestro, Thierry, as our guide. A superb experience and surely one of my best trips. (translated from French)

ANDRÉ M. ★★★★★ - Google review - 12 August 2025 -

A great group with fabulous organisation, whether for Sunday rides, weekend rides or even tours.
I've just ridden the RGA, the Route des Grandes Alpes. With a small group, a great atmosphere and good company. Our organiser and guide Thierry did flawless work. Everything was perfect. Don't hesitate to go on these tours. You can't be disappointed.
I'm going again as soon as I can. (translated from French)

KARINE B. ★★★★★ - Google review - 18 May 2025 -

These 7 days in Corsica organised by Thierry were a superb experience for me. I had already done 3-day road trips with the Monkeys and felt confident.
Our small group of riders from different backgrounds rode in unison. We all made progress.
We discovered wonderful landscapes, and the organisation was top-notch. Rooms, meals, picnics... We were spoilt by the weather and enjoyed local dishes. Top for me!! (translated from French)

JEAN L. ★★★★★ - Google review - 16 October 2025 -

A great trip, top-notch organisation and our guide Thierry was exceptional – he does everything to make it an unforgettable trip. No hesitation, go with MONKEYPRORIDER. (translated from French)

PROGRAMME OF THE SOUTHERN ITALY MOTORCYCLE TOUR

DAY 1 - 0 KM - WELCOME IN FLORENCE

We meet in the late afternoon at the first accommodation near Florence, in Italy. About 400 km from France on fast roads. The guide advises splitting the journey into 2 days so you arrive early in Florence and can enjoy the city. The evening is a chance to get to know each other over a friendly dinner and to hold a briefing on the week ahead

DAY 2 - APPROX. 225 KM - TUSCANY, AREZZO, LAKE TRASIMENO

This first riding day takes us across Tuscany, famous for its magnificent rural landscapes. We pass near Arezzo, then descend towards Lake Trasimeno. A few passes at around 1,000 m are on the programme. We start the trip well, with twisty roads and views.

DAY 3 - APPROX. 230 KM - NORCIA AND UMBRIA

Heading for Norcia in Umbria. 230 km of riding through the countryside and over low mountain passes. Arrival at the end of the day near Lake Campotosto.

DAY 4 - APPROX. 270 KM - HEADING SOUTH

We keep heading south, always between valleys, passes and picturesque villages. The houses, landscapes and local people transport us into typical Italy. A somewhat technical riding day, with twisty and flowing sections.

DAY 5 - APPROX. 236 KM - VIESTE AND THE ADRIATIC

A few twisty roads, then a short link section towards Vieste in the Foggia area: a village overlooking the Adriatic Sea at the far east of the country. A chance to change scenery and enjoy the seaside. We are already in Puglia.

DAY 6 - APPROX. 200 KM - PUGLIA, BARI

A short riding day with fewer kilometres. We follow the east coast of Puglia and take time to enjoy the scenery between land and sea. We arrive fairly early in Bari, where we can enjoy the city.

DAY 7 - APPROX. 290 KM - LECCE AND GALLIPOLI

A great riding day on the programme, riding almost all the way around the heel of the boot! We pass through Lecce. This area is very touristy, with plenty of beaches – a chance for a picnic on the sand. We stay near Gallipoli

DAY 8 - APPROX. 273 KM - NORTH TOWARDS POTENZA

We start heading north towards the Potenza area. We favour back roads through the countryside and pass close to Lake San Giuliano. We may ride a few passes at around 1,000 m to enjoy some views and a few hairpins.

DAY 9 - APPROX. 275 KM - MATESE PARK, CAMPANIA

We ride north to the Matese park in Campania. A chance, for once, to ride a few passes and above all to enjoy green, picturesque nature. During the day we also cross another nature park, Taburno-Camposauro

DAY 10 - APPROX. 247 KM - HEADING FOR ROME

A medium stage as we continue north on the western side of Italy. We head for Rome and its protected heritage, favouring flowing roads for this end of the tour. The landscape is quite different, with more farmland and more built-up villages.

DAY 11 - 0 KM - REST DAY IN ROME

Day OFF / rest to roam around Rome and discover its history. The guide will suggest a few must-see spots. We meet in the evening for dinner at the hotel.

DAY 12 - APPROX. 300 KM - HEADING FOR PISA

A big stage, but mostly flowing roads and even a little fast road, to reach our last accommodation in Pisa. Arriving fairly early in the city lets us visit the Tower and take some great photos.

DAY 13 - 0 KM - END OF THE TOUR

We part after breakfast. The tour is over. We'll meet again on other destinations.

Depending on the season, hotel availability or the number of people registered (and their riding level), some constraints may require the guide to change the routes and/or overnight stops. The guide alone decides what is needed to keep to the timing, make the most of the planned stops and ensure the overall comfort of the group. These changes cannot be disputed.

PREPARING YOUR MOTORCYCLE TOUR OF SOUTHERN ITALY: THE GUIDE'S TIPS

Tuscany, Rome, nature parks and the trulli of Puglia: this motorcycle tour of Southern Italy is one of our great classics. Here is our guide's advice for riding the Italian way. It complements the briefing your qualified guide gives every morning before setting off.

Adapt to Italian driving

Italian traffic is lively: indicators are rare and overtaking is tight. Stay visible, anticipate and always keep an escape route.

Watch out for ZTL zones

In many Italian town centres, limited traffic zones (ZTL) are closed to unauthorised vehicles and monitored by camera. In towns, follow the guide rather than your GPS.

Pace yourself

This is a long tour: sleep well, stay hydrated and take it easy in the first few days so you can enjoy every stage to the end.
