We are #ROULEURS – riders at heart. The #MONKEYPRORIDER tour concept is all about riding, bends and scenery. We make very few visits to castles, museums or heritage sites... Make sure you can ride about 250 to 300 km a day, several days in a row. Back roads only. Our pace and riding method allow most riders to take part, but too low a riding level could hold the group back and make it difficult to finish the stages in a reasonable time.

I have taken part in Sunday rides, done 2 three-day trips and 1 one-week tour. Every time everything went well: a good atmosphere, friendliness and the joy of riding all together, safely. Don't hesitate, come along, you won't be disappointed. (translated from French)

A first for me with Monkeyprorider: I rode the Route des Grandes Alpes in August and can only congratulate the organisation – a superb job on the routes, the accommodation and a great atmosphere, and above all a maestro, Thierry, as our guide. A superb experience and surely one of my best trips. (translated from French)
ANDRÉ M. ★★★★★ - Google review - 12 August 2025 -

PROGRAMME OF THE VERCORS TO VERDON MOTORCYCLE TOUR
DAY 1 - 0 KM - WELCOME AND BRIEFING
We meet in the late afternoon at the first accommodation. A chance to get to know each other over a friendly dinner and to hold a briefing on the week ahead
DAY 2 - APPROX. 200 KM - ACROSS THE VERCORS, BOURNE GORGES
Breakfast and off we go on this adventure. The plan is to cross the Vercors from end to end via its finest spots: the Nan gorges, the Bourne gorges… We stop for the night towards the north of the massif.
DAY 3 - APPROX. 200 KM - VERCORS AND COL DU ROUSSET
We continue across the Vercors, taking our time and making great photo stops at exceptional places. We ride well-known passes such as the Col du Rousset. We leave the Vercors to the south-west after criss-crossing it completely
DAY 4 - APPROX. 280 KM - BARONNIES, NESQUE GORGES, VALENSOLE
Our journey takes us through the French Baronnies, and a short there-and-back ride reveals the Nesque gorges. The day's ride continues towards the Verdon across the Valensole plateau. We reach our accommodation for the rest of the stay near the Lac de Sainte-Croix.
DAY 5 - APPROX. 310 KM - DALUIS GORGES AND ENTREVAUX
Probably the biggest riding day of the week, as we head up to cross the Daluis gorges. Along the way, magnificent viewpoints such as the Lac de Castillon. Coffee break in Entrevaux, at the foot of one of Vauban's largest citadels. Back via the Lac de Sainte-Croix
DAY 6 - 0 KM - REST DAY
Day OFF / REST. This free time is a chance to visit Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, a village perched on and clinging to the hillside. You can then laze by the Lac de Sainte-Croix and why not enter the gorges in a small electric boat.
DAY 7 - APPROX. 250 KM - CASSIS CLIFFS AND SAINTE-BAUME
Today we go off the beaten track, with a great detour to the Route des Crêtes above Cassis. A surprising and dizzying show awaits at the top of the cliffs. We cross the Sainte-Baume massif and its magnificent terrain
DAY 8 - APPROX. 250 KM - VERDON GORGES LOOP
Probably the most extraordinary day for views. We ride a loop around the Verdon, going up via the ridges and coming back through the gorges. Magnificent viewpoints and twisty roads for every rider.
DAY 9 - 0 KM - END OF THE TOUR
A friendly breakfast and the group says goodbye. End of the tour
Depending on the season, hotel availability or the number of people registered (and their riding level), some constraints may require the guide to change the routes and/or overnight stops. The guide alone decides what is needed to keep to the timing, make the most of the planned stops and ensure the overall comfort of the group. These changes cannot be disputed.

PREPARING YOUR VERCORS TO VERDON MOTORCYCLE TOUR: THE GUIDE'S TIPS
Roads carved into cliffs, tunnels, dizzying balcony roads and then the Verdon gorges: this motorcycle road trip from the Vercors to the Verdon is packed with bends. A few simple habits will help you enjoy it with complete peace of mind. They complement the briefing your qualified guide gives every morning before setting off.
Handle tunnels and balcony roads
On roads cut into the rock, the change from sun to shade is sudden. Choose a clear visor or glasses that are easy to remove, ease off the throttle slightly when entering tunnels and give your eyes time to adjust.
Beware of gravel
Gorges and mountain roads are often scattered with gravel or small rockfalls, especially after rain. Read the road far ahead and avoid cutting corners, which takes you onto the dirty edges.
Fill up whenever you can
Petrol stations are rare in the mountains. On this kind of route, we advise filling up at every opportunity the guide points out, even if your tank is only half empty.
