A PERSONALISED MOTORCYCLE COURSE, ON YOUR OWN MOTORCYCLE

Motorcycling is a passion you keep learning all your life. Your licence is only the beginning of the adventure: with experience, every rider develops habits, reflexes and sometimes limits that hold back their enjoyment or confidence.

Led by an FFM-qualified coach with nearly 30 years of road riding experience, you work on the techniques that really make a difference: body position, vision, lines, braking, cornering, anticipation and smoothness.

This course doesn't teach you to ride faster. It teaches you to ride better.

WHY TAKE AN ADVANCED RIDING COURSE?

Coaching course to ride a motorcycle better

Your licence gives you the basics to ride on the road, but the road asks for much more: every bend, every braking point, every situation is a chance to learn.

REGAIN CONFIDENCE

Over time, some riders develop fears: of losing the front in a bend, of not feeling at ease on winding roads, of hard braking, of feeling the motorcycle is in charge, or a lack of smoothness.

GO FURTHER

Others simply want to progress: improve their technique, prepare for a motorcycle tour, ride more safely, rediscover the pleasure after a break or make better use of their machine.

The advanced riding course meets exactly these goals.

YOUR OWN MOTORCYCLE, YOUR BEST TOOL FOR PROGRESS

One of the great advantages of the #MONKEYPRORIDER course: you work with your own motorcycle. Your goal is not to learn to ride another machine, but to master the one you use every day.

Adventure Roadster GT Sports Custom Touring

Every motorcycle has its own behaviour and reactions: the training adapts to your level, your experience, your motorcycle, your difficulties and your personal goals.

AN EXCEPTIONAL PLACE TO LEARN SAFELY

Training area to learn to ride better – lines

The technical exercises take place on the private site of the Col de la Cardonille, a former road closed to traffic, fully secured and dedicated to motorcycle training.

NO TRAFFIC

No oncoming vehicles, no traffic: you can focus on your riding.

A REAL PLAYGROUND

Varied bends, gradients and areas for slow-speed work, in situations close to real road riding.

The ideal environment to understand your motorcycle and progress without the pressure of traffic.

THE ADVANCED RIDING COURSE PROGRAMME

1

BODY POSITION AND MOBILITY

A good position makes you more effective and less tired. We work on body position, mobility on the motorcycle, staying relaxed, vision and moving with the machine: a motorcycle is ridden as much with the body as with the controls.

2

BRAKING

An essential skill, braking can be understood and mastered: available power, modulation, progressiveness, braking zones and handling emergencies. Good braking brings confidence and safety.

3

CORNERING AND LINES

The joy of motorcycling lies in the curves. Corner entry, positioning, vision, turn-in point, line and getting back on the throttle: the goal is more natural, smoother riding.

4

PRACTICE ON THE ROAD

After the workshops, practice on the road teaches you to anticipate, read the road, adapt your speed, choose your lines and handle everyday situations. This alternation is what makes progress last.

1-DAY COURSE OR 2-DAY IMMERSION?

1 DAY · €149

Ideal for identifying what to improve, correcting your habits, discovering new techniques and leaving with tools you can apply straight away.

Morning: technical workshops on a secure site. Afternoon: teaching ride with practice.

2 DAYS · €399

A full immersion, with hotel and meals included, to take in the techniques and apply them in more situations.

Day 1: technical workshops and practice on the road. Day 2: teaching rides, overtaking, hairpins, safety lines, safe stops and more varied roads. A real mini learning tour.

WHY CHOOSE #MONKEYPRORIDER?

A good course is not just about giving advice: you have to understand the rider, observe their riding, identify what holds them back and offer suitable solutions.

EXPERIENCE

Nearly 30 years of riding to pass on real road experience.

TEACHING

Every tip is explained, demonstrated and then put into practice.

SAFETY

Progress always comes with a responsible approach.

ENJOYMENT

The ultimate goal stays the same: to enjoy riding even more.

EXPERT ADVICE: KEEP PROGRESSING AFTER THE COURSE

An advanced riding course gives you tools; repeating them is what changes your riding for good. Here is the advice we give every trainee at the end of the day.

1

REPEAT THE BRAKING EXERCISES

In an empty, clean car park, regularly practise a few progressive braking runs, gradually increasing the intensity. A few minutes a month are enough to keep the right feel.

2

ONE THEME PER RIDE

Looking at the exit of the bend, anticipating braking zones, reading the surface: one goal at a time is the key to building a new reflex.

3

PRACTISE IN GROUPS AND ON TOURS

An association ride or one of our guided motorcycle tours is the ideal opportunity to apply what you have learnt on beautiful roads, in a supervised setting.

FAQ: ADVANCED RIDING COURSE

How much does the advanced riding course cost?

The one-day course costs €149. The 2-day course costs €399, including hotel and meals.

Do I need to bring my own motorcycle?

Yes, that is the principle of the course: you progress on the motorcycle you use every day. Adventure, roadster, GT, sports, custom or touring bike: the training adapts to your machine, your level and your goals.

How many riders per course?

Three riders at most, so the coach can observe each one and give personal advice, live over the intercom.

Do I need a particular level?

No. The training adapts to your level, experience, motorcycle and personal goals, whether you are a newly licensed rider (A2 included) or an experienced one.

Where does the course take place?

The technical workshops take place on the private site of the Col de la Cardonille, a former road closed to traffic and dedicated to motorcycle training. Practice then takes place on open roads.

What is the difference between the 1-day and 2-day courses?

The single day alternates technical workshops in the morning and a teaching ride in the afternoon. The 2-day course adds a day of teaching rides: overtaking, hairpins, safety lines, safe stops and more varied roads.

Does the course teach you to ride faster?

No. It is not about learning to ride faster, but to ride better: body position, vision, braking, lines, anticipation and smoothness.
